Red dogwood or "bloodwood" is an extremely resilient plant thriving in wet and cold conditions. They have been used to make baskets and for medicinal purposes. All Nests are coated in resin multiple times, making the waterproof. However they shouldn't be worn in hot water as the wood will swell, lifting the resin.
