There are several variations on an ancient tale that nine hazel trees grew around a sacred pool, dropping nuts into the water to be eaten by some salmon (a fish revered by Druids) which thereby absorbed the wisdom. The number of bright spots on the salmon were said to indicate how many nuts they had eaten. When we look to the ancient stories of Celtic lore, we hear tales of how the Hazel is associated with wisdom and inspiration. This sacred tree is said to be cloaked in a powerful magic which can imbue those who eat its fruit. Kamba Jasper is a stone of tranquility, fertility and calmness. All Nests are coated in resin multiple times, making the waterproof. However they shouldn't be worn in hot water as the wood will swell, lifting the resin.
